Vintage telephones: timeless elegance
Much as we respect and even revere the technological wizardry of modern electronic phones, there’s no denying that telephone design is not what it used to be.
We are devotees of the elegance and beauty of classic telephone design, from the earliest wooden telephones of the late 1800s right through to the models of the 1960s and 1970s, and we have created this site to share our knowledge and love with other collectors.
We have detailed information about the most collectible retro telephones by companies such as GPO, Western Electric, Ericsson, plus lots of history and background information, plentiful advice for collectors and buyers, and general style guides to the main types of retro telephone.
